Digital Services & Marketing:
This role will support Business Lead(s) in the Digital Services business group. They will study Digital Services business opportunities primary focusing on the Connected space. Build business cases for potential opportunities and present results of business case creation. This will include market sizing, financial simulation and research.
Customer Experience:
The Customer Experience (CX) division is working to build customer loyalty by improving customer satisfaction and creating promoters for our brands and products. We will transform the customer experience across all channels and improve associate & dealer experience through the improvement of systems, processes, and capabilities. We honor customer preferences, offer a personal touch, and value each interaction as a brand-appropriate relationship building opportunity.
This Co-Op will support Customer Experience (CX) initiatives and the scaling up of initiatives to achieve measurable results from digital systems. They will support the coordination of production support and enhancement of Customer Experience (CX) products
Consumer Targeting and Positioning:
The Customer Targeting and Positioning Unit (CTP) is focused on creating the product requirements for winning products for U.S. Honda and Acura automotive customers.
Key activities include defining target customer personas, anticipated usage scenarios, vehicle requirements, and unique selling propositions (USPs) to guide the development of upcoming models.
Future Market Planning:
The Future Market Planning (FMP) team is responsible for analyzing emerging consumer trends and evaluating their potential impact on the new vehicle market.
In addition, the group monitors macro-level developments—both within the automotive industry and across broader societal shifts to forecast future scenarios.
These insights enable Honda to proactively adapt and respond to an evolving marketplace.
As a co-op, you will collaborate closely with full-time associates and contribute to real, ongoing departmental projects, gaining hands-on experience and valuable insights into automotive planning operations.
What you need to be successful in this role
Required:
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Effective oral and written communication skills
Customer service and interpersonal skills
Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher (You will be required to provide your current transcript)
Class status - Sophomore (by credit hour) or above
Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week
Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field
Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis)
Ability to secure own transportation to and from work each day
*Public transportation and ride share services are limited in some of our locations. Co-ops are responsible for securing their own transportation to and from work each day, and must have a reliable plan for transportation in order to be eligible for a position. Regular in-person attendance is required, and transportation issues will not be excused.
Desired:

Skilled in research and data analysis
Passion for sustainability and safet
Awareness of the automotive industry and brands
Interest in consumer behavior
Ability to become proficient with planning tools such as MTAB, Power Information Network (PIN), etc.
Position Location
The Marketing Co-op/ Intern positions are offered in the location listed below:
Torrance, California (30 minutes south of Downtown Los Angeles, California)

On-site Wellness Center: Co-ops and Interns have access to join our Wellness Centers (varies by location). Our Wellness Centers are fully equipped gyms with cardio machines, weights, basketball courts, pools, dieticians, personal trainers and group fitness classes.
Paid overtime: Co-ops and Interns will receive 1.5 times their hourly rate of pay for any overtime worked.
Consideration for full time employment: Our Cooperative Learning Internship program is utilized as a talent pipeline for our full-time positions!
Hourly Wage Range: $23.35 to $30.21
Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
