What awaits you?
- Coordinate the development and implementation of processes, tools, and methods to meet production targets aligned with central plant management systems.
- Drive and challenge layouts, cycle times, process steps, industrialization parameters, ergonomics, redundancy, and material/information flows.
- Coach production teams, planners, and suppliers during planning, commissioning, and ramp-up.
- Ensure new stations and the new line are fully integrated into the existing battery assembly line with the right quality, quantity, and timing.
- Guarantee proper setup of all systems, processes, and databases needed for effective production monitoring.
- Lead change management activities in alignment with production and method functions.
- Reduce quality issues, waste, and costs through improved stability, ergonomics, and process utilization.
- Build and maintain a strong network with global BMW TEM plants to exchange best practices and lessons learned.
- Collaborate with quality specialists to ensure process alignment and integration within the GEN6 environment.
- Act as the key production interface with equipment suppliers during commissioning, pre-series, and serial phases.
- Work closely with planning, realization, quality, logistics, central functions, and external partners such as container suppliers and equipment builders.
What should you bring along?
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, complemented by relevant practical experience.
- Experience in coating, painting, and drying applications.
- Experience with camera technology (geometry checks, positioning, etc.) is advantageous.
- Proven experience launching new production lines/stations, ideally in a high-technology manufacturing environment.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Shopfloor experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of complex production systems, process sequences, and flux applications.
- Strong communication and coaching abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Fluency in English.
