Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role Tiny Transformer Methods: Systematically review tiny transformer methods for edge devices, compile exemplar models and tool chains (TFLite Micro, CMSIS‑NN), while shortlist architectures suitable for deployment on Microcontrollers with embedded NPUs Sensing Task Identification: Identify transformer-relevant sensing tasks and select datasets Platform Constraints: Characterize platform constraints, such as Flash/RAM budgets, supported quantization schemes, operator support and others Transformer Models: Implement and deploy shortlisted transformer models on Microcontrollers, including quantization strategy and operator mapping Method Evaluation: Evaluate against conventional methods regarding accuracy, latency, energy, and memory footprint. You will also analyze trade‑offs and derive recommendations Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Education: Enrolled in electrical engineering, computer science or similar (Masters) Previous experiences: Experience with machine learning principles and algorithms, especially transformer architectures Programming skills: Proficiency with Python, embedded systems and C programming Machine Learning Ability: Ability to develop and optimize machine learning models for resource-constrained devices Way of working: Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies, while being a team player with strong communication skills Languages: Proficiency in English.
