Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (Full-Time)
Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. Opening in 2026, COTA’s amusement park, COTALAND, is on over 30-acres featuring two first of their kind Roller Coasters and 30 rides.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (FP&A) to join the team of our racetrack and entertainment destination in Austin, TX. This role will be critical in shaping the company’s financial future, building robust forecasting models, and providing data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions. The FP&A Manager will serve as a key business partner across operations, marketing, commercial, and development teams, ensuring financial discipline and maximizing profitability while supporting a best-in-class guest experience.

Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Financial Leadership & Forecasting
- Lead the events-based budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for COTA’s operations, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate performance, scenario planning, and ROI of new projects.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive benchmarks to inform assumptions and strategies.
- Operational & Business Partnering
- Partner with department heads (Operations, Marketing, Food & Beverage, Attractions, Retail) to translate business strategies into financial outcomes.
- Provide real-time financial insights to optimize guest spending, per caps, labor utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Support leadership in setting and tracking KPIs that align with revenue growth and cost management.
- Own and manage financial reporting through the Oracle Data Warehouse.
- Strategic Analysis & Decision Support
- Conduct analysis on pricing strategies, attendance patterns, guest segmentation, and promotional effectiveness.
- Support capital investment decisions including expansions and partnerships.
- Present clear, actionable recommendations to executive leadership and ownership groups.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accuracy, and forward-thinking analysis.
- Implement systems and processes to streamline reporting and improve the speed and quality of decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles; prior experience in theme parks, hospitality, entertainment, or consumer-facing businesses strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling at scale.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a demonstrated track record of providing valuable information to senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex data into compelling narratives.
- Experience implementing financial systems, dashboards, or BI tools.
- Leadership experience with a track record of developing and mentoring finance professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW) and/or Oracle Analytics for financial reporting and BI.
