Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lansing Grand River Assembly on a full-time basis.

The Role:
As an Industrial Engineer, and member of the IE/ME team, you will be responsible for supporting production, GSC and quality departments with SPQRCE metrics, Productivity and Throughput goals.
What You'll Do:
As an IE, you will directly work with production- hourly employees and salary employees in implementing lean manufacturing systems like eliminating waste of time, motion, material and improve MPH on jobs.
- Provide solutions to Ergonomic issues and safety related issues.
- Position communicates to all levels of the organization and responsible for supporting relationship management with team members, team leaders, core team members and supervisors
- Ability to understand and assess issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production.
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
- Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership.
- Ability to provide support to tech support and Production teams to meet Build and Ship goals
- Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked through to resolution.
- Ability to plan and execute productivity though waste elimination and process improvements
- Support Quality and Production teams to meet DRR and BIQ IV goals.
- Ability to become SME in GMS and support production Team leaders and Group leaders.
- Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.
- Ability to problem solve and tackle issues by implementing new and innovative strategies.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Manufacturing Working Experience at least 3 years (Internship at a minimum)
- Must be able to support Production floor as required
- Must be able to work OT and weekends, as needed
- Experience as Industrial Engineer in Automotive Industry
