Job Description
We are looking for an intern / working student (m/f/d) in the field of automotive powertrain systems and electrification technology.
Within the Energy Systems R&D Department, located at our Aachen Engineering Centre in Wegberg, your tasks will include:
- Get insights into processes and structures of an automotive supplier;
- Support in the development of advanced powertrain control solutions for Off-Highway vehicles, including hybrid & battery electric vehicles;
- Understand the steps of experimental data generation and processing;
- Evaluate and validate results in simulation environment;
- Identify possible next steps for improvement;
- Prepare and create technical presentations for various stakeholders.
Qualifications
- You study in an engineering-related program (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, vehicle engineering, automotive) and have interest in the automotive industry;
- You are a team player that likes to take on tasks and responsibilities proactively;
- You have fluent skills in written and spoken English to communicate with internal and external stakeholders, German is a pre;
- You are able to work with Microsoft Office applications to edit documents, handle test data and create presentations;
- You have proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink and possess basic knowledge of control development topics;
- Ideally, you have basic skills in Python and possess basic knowledge of data engineering.
