Hybrid: for this position is required to be on site 3x/week Role: We are seeking a Program Engineering Manager to lead global product developments in South America, aligned with GM’s business and strategic view. This role will drive cross-functional engineering programs, closely working with product development, as well collaborating with studio, manufacturing, quality, marketing, and other areas to deliver innovative solutions under resource constraints. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills, capable of navigating complex environments and influencing stakeholders at all levels. What you will do (responsabilities): Strategic Program Leadership • Lead complex, cross-functional engineering programs critical to business success. • Define program scope, governance, and execution plans. • Align program goals with organizational strategy and product development timelines. • Knowledge in automotive industry development (product and manufacturing process) Innovation & Ideation • Promote a culture of continuous innovation and improvement. • Challenge the status quo and propose creative, resource-efficient solutions. Stakeholder Engagement • Influence and align senior leaders, studio, marketing, and engineering teams. • Facilitate decision-making across diverse functions and regions. Execution Excellence • Manage program budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. • Track progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues proactively. • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Communication & Reporting • Provide clear, concise updates to leadership on milestones, risks, and outcomes. • Document lessons learned and share best practices across teams. Location : São Caetano do Sul/SP Your skills and abilities (required qualifications): Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Languages: Advanced English (mandatory), Spanish (desirable) Previous Experience : Proven experience in product development, engineering project management and/or automotive industry.
