Work Arrangement On-Site: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis. The primary work location will be Tooling & Equipment International – Livonia, MI. About TEI TEI is a highly technical company, known for making highly complex, machined castings for a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace, defense and space exploration. We make prototypes and low volume production castings and work on advanced confidential products, this enables companies of all sizes to make faster strides in electrification, fuel cells, and giant giga cast vehicle structures. TEI has won the AFS Casting of the Year award twice, most recently for the design and manufacture of the rear rail for the new Cadillac CELESTIQ EV. The Role This is more than a sales role—it’s a chance to bridge industries. We’re seeking a Technical Sales Engineer with a proven track record in Aerospace, Defense, or Medical Device sales who’s ready to apply their deep technical knowledge and consultative selling skills to TEI. You’ll be the face of our company to OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, translating customer needs into engineered solutions and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships. What You Will Do Develop and maintain strong relationships with aerospace and defense OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and engineering teams Understand customer technical requirements and propose tailored product solutions Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and quotes Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and alignment. Identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic sales planning Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): 3+ years in technical sales, preferably in the Aerospace, Defense, or Medical Device industries Demonstrate consistent examples of growing revenue with new clients in the Aerospace, Defense, or Medical Device industries. Can speak to the business development funnel process they used to prospect, track, close, and maintain new clients. Strong technical acumen, persuasive communication, and relationship-building abilities Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes or prototype component design Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
