General Motors is seeking a consultative and strategic Senior Product Manager, AI Portfolio to partner with business functions across the enterprise. This role is responsible for proactively engaging with functional leaders to identify, assess, and prioritize high-value opportunities for artificial intelligence. The Senior Product Manager will act as a trusted advisor, guiding teams through the process of envisioning, scoping, and solutioning AI use cases that drive measurable business impact.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AI technologies, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams. Experience in opportunity assessment, solution architecture, and change management is highly valued.
Consulting & Opportunity Identification
- Build relationships with functional leaders to understand business challenges and strategic priorities.
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to uncover high-impact AI opportunities.
- Assess feasibility, value, and readiness for AI adoption across functions.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for AI investments.
- Guide teams through the process of scoping and designing AI solutions tailored to business needs.
- Advise on best practices for responsible AI, data governance, and change management.
- Connect business stakeholders with technical experts to accelerate solution development.
Portfolio Strategy & Prioritization
- Maintain a dynamic portfolio of AI opportunities, tracking status, value, and outcomes.
- Partner with leadership to prioritize initiatives based on strategic alignment.
- Communicate portfolio insights and recommendations to senior executives.
- Stay current with AI trends, technologies, and industry benchmarks.
- Champion a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Develop and share playbooks, frameworks, and success stories to inspire adoption.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data Science, or related discipline).
- Master’s degree preferred.
- AI/ML certification (e.g., Microsoft, Google, Coursera, or equivalent) highly desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in AI strategy, business consulting, or solution architecture, ideally in a large enterprise or automotive/manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success in identifying, scoping, and delivering high-value AI use cases in partnership with business functions.
- Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions, and opportunity assessments with cross-functional teams.
- Track record of translating business challenges into actionable AI solutions and business cases.
- Deep understanding of artificial intelligence technologies and their business applications (machine learning, NLP, computer vision, generative AI, etc.).
- Ability to assess feasibility, value, and readiness for AI adoption across diverse business functions.
-Ability to develop Low code/no code AI solutions
- Familiarity with data governance, responsible AI, and change management best practices.
- Experience with solution architecture and technical advisory for AI projects.
- Proficiency with visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, dashboarding platforms).
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong facilitation and communication abilities—able to lead workshops, present findings, and influence senior leaders.
- Ability to develop and articulate strategic recommendations for AI investments.
- Experience working with executive leadership and functional teams to drive innovation and adoption.
- Experience in the automotive industry or related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and cloud-native practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical and responsible AI.

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
- The salary range for this role is 150,000 to 200,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
