On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Wentzville, MO plant.
The Role: The Occupational Health Registered Nurse – PRN/per diem is responsible for providing emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders. This position is meant to be ad hoc in nature with shifts to be scheduled in advance based on need and availability.
This position earns $40 an hour. This rate is non-negotiable.
What You'll Do:

Administers professional nursing care to sick and/or injured employees

Performs and evaluates various clinical and diagnostic tests

Assists plant physician in minor surgical procedures

Interviews and documents medical history of employees

Works effectively with the Health Services team and other departments

Maintains appropriate medical records to ensure quality and accuracy

Performs and documents physical exams

Adheres to common practices and procedures throughout the department

Maintains equipment and supplies

Assists with the promotion of plant wellness programs

Works with health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Associate Degree in Nursing
-
Valid state nursing license
-
2 years of prior nursing experience required

Proficient with electronic medical records and basic computer programs/software

Flexibility for shift coverage, specifically 2nd shift and weekends
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

ER, Urgent Care, Critical Care, Med/Surg or Occupational Health experience preferred

Certified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED

Certification as Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or Occupational Health Nursing Specialist (COHN-S) preferred
