WHY: The purpose of this role is to lead and execute software reflash & yard campaigns for finished vehicles and components at assembly sites, vehicle distribution centers, and repair sites throughout North America that need skilled resources to manage the workload. This position is critical to ensuring teams are focused on the success of the enterprise.
WHAT: As a Mfg. Software Reflash & Yard Execution Lead, you will update vehicle systems and components at a rate that sustains production operations and ships vehicles direct to commerce. Execution is typically a high-volume operation working with key third-party providers. Campaigns will vary across all vehicles systems with significant focus on software updates, component inspection, and some replacement.
HOW: Motivate teams & execute to daily targets for our manufacturing leadership and vehicle assembly sites in a manner that delivers quality products on-time to our dealers and customers.

Work Arrangement - Onsite
The successful candidate is expected to travel and work at various sites on a regular basis with some remote support of third-party providers. When not traveling the candidate will report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. This role requires up to 75% domestic and international travel.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships across manufacturing, engineering, supplier quality, remediation, logistics, global supply chain, aftersales, software and services organizations to drive campaign initiatives, manage vehicle systems remediation, and align efforts with future innovations.
- Analyze and interpret emerging software and hardware quality issues in new vehicles to develop and implement effective remediation strategies, ensuring clear communication to cross-functional teams.
- Lead, mentor, and delegate tasks to a small team of employees and third-party providers, fostering accountability and high performance.
- Oversee on-site operations, ensuring alignment with daily production targets and quality standards.
- Generate and deliver daily performance reports to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, providing transparent updates on roadblocks, progress, and execution.
- Champion a forward-thinking, adaptable work culture that embraces change and proactively addresses evolving organizational and industry challenges.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing software and services for vehicle systems and components.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing vehicle systems including component software management, EV technologies, powertrain, chassis, and electrical power/signal distribution.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people skills to effectively guide teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Analytical mindset with sound decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Quick learner with a passion for staying current on emerging technologies and methods while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently (75%+ domestic/international)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Extensive experience in automotive manufacturing, vehicle test systems, component software and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with manufacturing and engineering diagnostic tools, such as GBFTT, MERS, GEPICS, GSIP, CHIPS, V-Spy, DPS, and Intrepid Network Adapters.
- Familiarity with OEM service testing and diagnostic systems, preferably GM systems (e.g., SI, SPS, GDS, EPS, TLC, MDI) or equivalent tools from other manufacturers.
- Understanding of vehicle logistics systems and tools such as VTIMS or similar platforms.
- Relevant advanced technical certifications or degrees in automotive engineering, automotive technology, or related fields.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
