Position overview
We are looking for a candidate available for a 6-month internship, with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. The role will involve a 50/50 hybrid arrangement, alternating between remote work and on-site presence at our Atlanta office.
The IT Data Analytics intern will perform, with supervision, the day-to-day tasks of development, support, testing, documentation, and training in areas of MS SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS, Business Intelligence tools, and other analytics related applications.
Roles & responsibilities
Perform development, support and training activities in SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS, Business Intelligence tools and other analytics related applications.
Develop and maintain SQL scripts and stored procedures.
Build and maintain Snowflake databases.
Build and maintain AWS infrastructure.
Build and maintain Business Intelligence dashboards and reports.
Serve as a team member for cross-functional application implementations and upgrades.
Work with IT, Data and Analytics team members to provide insight into the optimization of current processes, the automation of routine administrative tasks to improve efficiencies, and the documentation of processes and procedures.
Lead agile ceremonies including fuel planning and daily scrums.
Work independently on projects to support the business units and the IT team.
Develop and implement solutions to business problems.
Design and implement new features and functionality.
Test and deploy new applications.
Perform quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
Test new development for bugs and errors.
Work with users to ensure that new development meets their needs.
Document system defects and change requests, working with PCNA/PAG IT on solutions.
Track and document system defects and change requests.
Work with PCNA/PAG IT to resolve issues.
?Document systems and data flows.
Research and test the latest Big Data trends and technology.
Stay up-to-date on the latest Big Data technologies.
Test and evaluate new Big Data technologies.
?Work with PAG on implementation of new technologies.

Position Location: The intern must reside within the Atlanta Metro area during the duration of their employment.

Qualifications
Education:
At a minimum, be enrolled in a 4-year degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, or comparable curriculum.
Experience:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working full time in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or SQL development.
Skills:
Demonstrated skills in SQL and Databases
Understanding of Atlassian Confluence & Jira is a plus
Knowledge of MicroStrategy or similar BI Tool is a plus
Demonstrated skill in Python, JavaScript, or Java is a plus
Understanding of Snowflake Database experience is a plus
Demonstrated skill in AWS Cloud (Glue, EC2, S3, Athena) is a plus
Knowledge of Big Data experience is a plus
