Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.
The Role
We are seeking a Motorsports Electrical Specialist to work across all GM related motorsports to support electrical needs of various on-site test equipment, our Racing Programs, and with Team partners.
A thorough understanding of electrical systems in the motorsports environment is critical for success in this position. Your knowledge should include the electrical systems of modern race vehicles, track support equipment , and awareness of diverse test equipment such as simulator rigs, SPMM machines, and various test rigs for specific vehicle systems. The productive candidate will be a well-organized, initiative-taker with effective communication skills, the ability to formulate a plan and then, successfully complete it with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Do

Plan and build electrical for test, shop, and track equipment

Plan and build vehicle electrical systems

Consult with our team partners to address their electrical needs and plan for new electrical components and systems

Battery Testing/charging
What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)

7 years of industry relevant electrical experience
-
5 or more years of professional motorsports experience

Knowledge of motorsports electrical systems
-
Experience troubleshooting complex electronic systems
-
Milspec or Motorsports wiring harness production

Familiarity with Lithium-Ion Battery systems

Electronic Circuit Design
-
Engine/Chassis dyno or test rig experience

Must be able to lift thirty pounds over head and have sound hand strength to use tools

Ability to multitask in a highly flexible environment and adjust quickly to constantly evolving goals

Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed

Ability to travel 5% of the time within the United States
