Work Arrangement
Onsite - This position requires the employee to be onsite five days a week. Primary work location will be the General Motors Global Technical Center in Warren, MI. This position has the potential to require travel of up to 50%.
The Role
The Execution Lead – Collaborative Applications will lead a dedicated team of engineers in driving the successful delivery of manufacturing engineering projects and deployment. This role encompasses full project lifecycle management—from initial concept and design through development and final production launch. This position plays a pivotal role in advancing ARC’s automation strategy, enabling seamless system integration, and fostering innovation in manufacturing technologies.
Working in close partnership with cross-functional teams such as operations, quality, and supply chain, the lead ensures that all initiatives are executed on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality.
Success in this role requires a high degree of autonomy, strategic decision-making, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of deep technical knowledge and strong leadership capabilities to deliver impactful solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities)
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary team of engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve roadblocks, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and successful product launches.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and meet project budgets/forecasts.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in manufacturing engineering.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution of deployment activities across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with design, software, controls, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of autonomous systems into production environments.
- Establish and enforce best practices for deployment processes, safety compliance, and system validation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing deployment performance metrics and implementing corrective actions.
- Support liaison between ARC and manufacturing stakeholders during deployment phases.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Manage strategic deployment integrators relationships and coordinate with external partners for equipment delivery, installation, and support.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 5+ years of professional experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, demonstrating the ability to thrive in fast-paced settings.
- Experience coordinating requirements for and execution of industrial equipment installation, startup, and process validation.
- Demonstrated program execution experience
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies, such as Agile and Six Sigma, ensuring efficient project execution and continuous improvement.
- In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies, fostering operational efficiency and waste reduction.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in a supervisory or management capacity, showcasing the ability to lead teams effectively and drive results.
- Familiarity with robotics and automation technologies, contributing to innovative manufacturing solutions.
- Experience in Launching new product. Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and Equipment and Global Launch Process and Global Vehicle Development Process.
- Technical knowledge of PLCs, and system integration.
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, companies relative to rol systems for autonomous applications.
