What to Expect
We are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Technician to join our Services team in Woking. You will work on a shift system, this is subject to change during annual shutdowns etc. You will also be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime as and when required. A flexible approach to working hours is essential to suit the needs of the businesses.
What You'll Do
Carrying out the maintenance, repair and improvements of the emergency lighting system, including effective fault finding, and ensure all defects are repaired/rectified and documented correctly.
Ensuring all statutory emergency lighting testing is carried out and documented
Taking ownership of all lighting planned preventative maintenance. Create, amend and modify ppms as required.
Carrying out repair, modification and improvement to the facilities lighting systems, identifying areas for improvement of systems.
Scheduling own daily/weekly/monthly lighting/data work load, including the planning and implementation of all lighting works during the annual shutdowns.
Effectively log and document reactive and planned maintenance tasks
Carrying out PAT Testing as required.
Carrying out electrical inspections and testing of new installations.
Liaising with suppliers to ensure the best quality and the best price is obtained for lighting stock and consumables, and ensure stock levels are maintained.
Effectively supervise subcontractor activities as required.
Carrying out installation works – power/lighting etc and liaise directly with the change request team.
Liaising with the Service Desk, Marketing Department & Support Team Management during and before events to ensure all power requirements are catered for.
Ensuring all lamp store areas in all McLaren facilities are kept up to the McLaren standard.
Complying with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy requirements within area of responsibility.
Identifying areas for energy saving and propose improvements
Assisting in modification and improvement to building management and control systems
What You'll Bring
Electrical/Mechanical recognised engineering qualification –i.e. BTEC / HND / Apprenticeship.
Experience of fault finding and maintenance activity on emergency lighting systems and power circuits.
Installation experience in power/lighting.
PAT Testing.
Electrical Inspection & Testing.
BMS Installation Work & Maintenance/Repair.
Robust experience in a similar role and industry.
MEWP License Holder 3A and 3B.
Computer Literate.
Experience of ordering parts and dealing directly with suppliers
