Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Bedford, IN on a full-time basis.
The Role:
The Maintenance Planner - Engineering will coordinate the strategic planning process in partnership with the Plant Manufacturing Engineering Manager and ME team to identify opportunities, develop action plans/initiatives to achieve defined short, mid, and long-term portfolio/business plan deliverables. In this role you will be responsible for tracking execution and results, ensuring action items are completed on time, and facilitating communication to the business team. This position will mainly be on first shift but will work off-shift and overtime as needed.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Deploy common business management processes:
- Maintain L2 BPD board, support L1 BPD board deliverables
- Prepares and communicates performance data (reports, scorecards, one-pagers, meeting minutes, etc.)
- Manage and execute department Safety and Technical training plans
- Manage department time architecture/calendar
- Manage Vacation schedule
- Support ME Manager in the organization and running of the business (meetings, SCM administration, special assignments, etc.)
- WSS element and PS Champion support (WSS 2.2, PS6, etc.)
- Ensure GM safety policies, Safety Contract Management and procedures are followed by contractors and internal resources
- Execute the portfolio/business planning process
- Coordinate and support NPP/MBC and other plant projects
- Develop/manage detailed project plans, budgets and schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
- Track progress against key milestones and proactively mitigate risk, delays, or scope changes
- Conduct regular leadership status reports/updates
- Develop and maintain project business cases (deliverables, benefits, timing, etc.)
- Interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data and recommend solutions to unusual problems
- Maintain budget accounts for plant engineering/Facilities/SA (3rd party) contracts
- Cost council support – 2000, 3000, 5000, 9000
- Collect and analyze key operating metrics for the group
- Handle a variety of special assignments
- Develop and conduct presentations for all levels of management
- CI BW / GMS execution and support
- Practical Problem Solving (PPS) tracking and follow up - primary for Engineering/Facilities related items
Required Qualifications:
- Technical degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related experience
- 5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to plant leadership.
- Ability to work off-shift and overtime as needed
- Managerial courage
- Highly skilled in Microsoft applications

- Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional problem-solving and process control initiatives.
- Comfort navigating maintenance systems and presenting complex data in a clear, strategic format.
