Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive sales of DiL simulation solutions across North America. This role requires a strategic salesperson with an understanding of the automotive industry sales cycle, who has a track record in technical sales within automotive engineering, vehicle development, software, ADAS or similar.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand Ansible Motion’s presence within OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and ADAS developers.
- Identify, engage, and develop relationships with key decision-makers within engineering, R&D, and procurement teams.
- Present and demonstrate Ansible Motion’s DiL simulators, articulating their value proposition in vehicle development, validation, and virtual testing.
- Drive the full sales cycle, from lead generation and proposal development to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure client requirements are fully understood and solutions are tailored accordingly.
- Represent Ansible Motion at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and market awareness.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, market analysis, and competitor insights to inform business strategy.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, or account management within automotive engineering, simulation, or software industries.
- Established network, or ability to develop a network, within OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and ADAS developers.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and C suite decision-makers.
- Experience managing a high-value, consultative sales cycle.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel across North America for client meetings and industry events.
Desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of vehicle simulation, testing, and validation
- experience selling DiL simulators, HiL systems, software tools, or related automotive technologies.
- Background in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or simulation technology.
- Experience working with vehicle dynamics, ADAS validation, or virtual prototyping solutions.
- Familiarity with automotive development tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, rFpro, CarMaker, dSPACE, or VI-grade).
