The Role:
This position supports Electric Power System calibrations across all GM vehicles, with a focus on delivering robust and high-performing Low Voltage Infrastructure (LVI) features. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of LVI feature performance and ecosystem health status, ensuring functionality, reliability, and resilience in areas such as low voltage setpoint control, battery saver modes, and load management. This role requires initiative, technical depth, and leadership to drive institutional improvements and influence calibration strategy across platforms.
Beyond technical expertise, we are looking for a well-rounded, high-energy individual who thrives in collaborative environments and can inspire cross-functional teams. Success in this role hinges on strong communication skills, the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, and a passion for driving innovation in simulation, lab, and vehicle environments. If you're ready to lead the charge in shaping GM’s future low voltage systems, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Own and lead LVI feature performance and ecosystem health status across vehicle programs
- Coordinate calibration planning efforts to ensure high-quality, on-time release of LVI calibration scripts
- Compile and release high-quality and defect free LVI calibration scripts using tools such as CRETA, ensuring alignment with program milestones
- Support resource planning and requirement identification for calibration development activities, while facilitating story creation and ensuring seamless integration into Scrum workflows using JIRA
- Lead issue resolution efforts across vehicle, plant, durability/dyno, and customer domains, driving timely closure and long-term corrective actions
- Collaborate with Technical Specialists and Subsystem Leads to align calibration strategies across vehicle lines and ensure technical coherence.
- Develop and optimize calibrations within Low Voltage Infrastructure, focusing on cross-program commonization and adherence to Calibration Standard Work
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve vehicle, system, and controls deficiencies through collaboration with responsible teams
- Apply analytical tools to develop, validate, and improve calibration quality
- Conduct calibration reviews to ensure consistency, robustness, and alignment with performance targets
- Develop, refine, and implement calibration procedures to support standardization and continuous improvement
- Participate in development trips and test activities to support calibration validation and refinement
