About the Team:
Classification of existing manuals and topics within the editing tool to publish the technical information to the Aftermarket Portal / Technical Info. Adjusting media types (e.g. images) in relation to editorial guidesline for further using within the editing tool.
What you can look forward to as Technical Editor - product Information Management?:
- Research and enter the required feature values according to the current classification structure and editorial guidelines
- Deriving independent topics from existing instructions in coordination with the editorial team in Passau
- After publication, check instructions and topics in the Aftermarket Portal/Technical Info
- Edit images and videos according to editorial guidelines for further use in instructions, manuals and topics
- Creating media objects in the content management system (editorial tool)
- Creation and maintenance of the document master in the PLM system
Your Profile as Technical Editor – Product Information Management:
- Further education as a technician
- Experience (practice) in service support (Aftermarket experience)
- Basic knowlege in German and English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of local regulations and related directives (OHS, fire safety, CE)
- Experience in PLM systems (BOM-structure, change management, ...)
- Experience in XML-based editorial systems, PIM systems and in image editing tools
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); good organizational skills; logical thinking; flexibility; independence
- Teamwork; responsibility, active communication, results-oriented
