As a team, we...
...plan new vehicle projects with regard to corrosion protection-compliant vehicle construction and the paintability of the body. We are responsible for the interplay of color development and process materials in coordination with development and production. Innovation projects for process optimization/sustainability as well as testing of new technologies, including process planning and resource procurement (plant engineering), are also part of our daily business, as is ensuring compliance with standards and processes.
Start: March and September
Duration: 5 to 6 months
What can you expect?
Automation and innovation projects in the paint shop
Development and implementation of AI use cases in the paint shop
Processing of scopes in painting, paint testing, testing, pre-series production, and vehicle launches
Innovation scouting and benchmarking
Designing your internship focus within the context of the department's strategic orientation, as well as working on special topics and cross-departmental cross-cutting activities
Requirements
What sets you apart?
A place to study industrial engineering, production or manufacturing engineering, process engineering/chemical and bioengineering, chemical engineering, or a comparable degree program (at least in the third semester or in the gap year between bachelor's and master's degrees)
Strong automotive affinity
Proficient in MS Office and CAD
Independent and structured working style
Programming skills & IT affinity
Ideally, experience in the IT environment of the automotive industry and/or work in a paint laboratory, for example, through previous internships and student traineeships
