About the Role
To provide forecast, sales and technical support to US customers in order to achieve sales through meeting customer expectations and to enforce Xtrac’s position as a world leader in Motorsports Transmissions.
Day to Day
To establish, maintain and manage a strong working relationship with new and existing customers, at all levels.
To process and manage internal forecast, customer quotations and orders including leading customer communications.
To support Buildshop service activity by maintaining an up-to-date service schedule and advising customers on recommended part replacements.
To manage customer projects throughout the business in a co-ordinated, focused, structured and well controlled manner, using the designated tools and processes, including:
Timely order processing and issue of associated paperwork
Co-ordination of engineering (Requests for Change) and manufacturing involvement via Proj-X (Xtrac’s internal project management & reporting software)
Project timing, with changes cleared, documented, and communicated
Project specification, ensuring what was ordered is delivered
Progress and Race reporting on the project via Proj-X
To answer customer enquiries within specified business sector.
Technical problem solving, including reviewing car data.
To support new proposals in a structured and timely manner, following the departmental systems.
To provide input to the costing process on pricing, and decide commercial terms with Vice President.
To build and develop relationships internally with other members of the Project Team, in particular Planning Specialists and Design Engineers.
To liaise with the Divisional Controller and the Customer to ensure that the account is kept up to date, and within agreed credit limits.
To liaise with Stores and the Inventory Controller as required to despatch assemblies and components, to include the method of despatch, ensuring that the customer is charged for this service appropriately.
To provide to the customer technical documentation to include parts and price lists, technical bulletins where appropriate.
To provide event support, as required for NASCAR which would include track support for approximately 15 races.
To proactively pursue generation of leads and subsequent quotations in formula, both for core and complementary product.
To attend annual Review Meetings and agree annual objectives and a Personal Development Plan (PDP).
To support Xtrac’s SQCDP, Quality and departmental meetings.
To support the development of Xtrac’s technical processes and procedures.
To liaise with Demand Planning and Supply Planning to ensure on-time supply of parts and maintain adequate stock levels to satisfy customer requirements.
To support Xtrac ISO9001 and ISO27001 accreditation requirements by reviewing and updating site-specific documentation such as Work Instructions, Customer Forms, Buildsheets, etc. as required.
To observe the Health and Safety rules at all times.
To follow the company quality procedures.
To carry out any reasonable additional duties as requested by management.

Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, some flexibility with Core Hours policy.
There is no paid overtime for salaried staff, but track support is paid at 10hrs per day for Saturday & Sunday.
Xtrac allows a “Comp day” if a weekend is worked (for track support for example).
Xtrac provides $50 per day for per diem when travelling.
