POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the management of the Unit One, Wyatt Way and Fison Way facilities in Thetford, Norfolk, UK. Ensuring that the needs of the organisation, employees, and/or visitors are met including the cleanliness, safety and security of all buildings, equipment and grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage overall building and site including maintenance staff and any contractors within facility
Create and maintain a suitable environment for the purpose and needs of the facility
Work in conjunction with IT to ensure that strategy is implemented and hardware infrastructure requirements are maintained to the agreed standards
Use best business practice to manage and reduce operational costs
Manage budgets for various facility needs and expenses, including capital expenditure projects
Evaluate costs for various services and goods before choosing the best options for the facility
Manage the maintenance of the buildings and equipment including repairs or contracting maintenance services as required
Track building upkeep as well as anticipated long & short-term improvements and maintenance
Keep the surrounding grounds properly cared for and landscaped
Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facilities.
Support and adhere to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems.
Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

MANAGERIAL / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
Direct line departmental responsibilities for Maintenance support team carrying appropriate leadership / project management of staff. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and reviewing work amongst the team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience of managing multi-site facilities
Strong knowledge of IT hardware and infrastructure management
Experience in H&S responsibility for an industrialised / manufacturing business
Good communication and professional presentation skills
Leadership, man management and conflict resolution skills
Capable of organising and managing priorities
Computer literate, with advanced M\S Word, PowerPoint & Excel skills/abilities, M\S Project expertise preferred
Minimum HNC\HND third level qualifications.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Mainly office/operations environment, some short term travel may be required to other business and supplier locations.
