Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. Opening in 2026, COTA’s amusement park is a 20-acre theme park featuring two first of their kind Roller Coasters and over three dozen rides.
Job Description:
Circuit of The Americas is home to world-class motorsports, major concerts, and Austin’s newest theme park, COTALAND. We are seeking a Graphic Artist/Designer with a strong focus on logo design, conceptual art, animation, GFX design including 2D and 3D design to join our Entertainment team. This role will shape the visual identity for all COTALAND business units including attractions, live entertainment, food & beverage, retail, signage, and special events. In addition to creative design, this role will also assist in production, fabrication, and installation of graphic elements, making it both a creative and hands-on position. This is an on-site, salaried creative position based in Austin, TX, reporting directly to the Vice President of Entertainment.

Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Design logos and brand identity systems for all business units of COTALAND, ensuring cohesive storytelling across attractions, dining, retail, and entertainment
- Render drawings, illustrations, 2D and 3D model concepts to present for approval
- Read and prepare working drawings including plans, elevations and color elevations for scenery, signs, and themed elements
- Create print-ready artwork for signs, graphics, and environmental design
- Design and animate GFX packages for shows, screens, video, and marketing
- Attend or coordinate production meetings as needed
- Develop and maintain style guides and DNA sheets as a brand steward for COTALAND
- Meet deadlines for each project phase, keeping leadership updated on progress
- Support special projects such as merchandise design, stage visuals, parade branding and seasonal Entertainment overlays
- Assist with planning, construction, and installation of designed elements as needed
- Work in the sign shop laying vinyl, prepping substrates, running printers, and fabricating signage and print elements as needed
- Install signage and graphic elements throughout the park as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
What It Takes to Succeed
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Acrobat Professional
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to work on both PC and Mac
- Strong skills in logo design, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to take feedback, adapt quickly, and work efficiently under deadlines
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings when needed
- Positive, guest-friendly attitude with the ability to interact with a wide range of people
Bonus Points for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- At least 1+ years of experience in sign design, graphic design, or related field
- Experience with 3D modeling/animation software (Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, or similar) a strong plus
- Must be able to lift 20lbs, push/pull 50lbs, and stand for prolonged periods
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, including Texas heat
- Flexible to adjust schedule as business needs evolve
- Practices safe work habits, including PPE use, proper lifting, and reporting unsafe situations
