This role is based REMOTE but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Warren, MI - Cadillac Tower you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation.
The Paid Social Strategy Assistant Manage r is a pivotal leader in the GM paid social community and responsible for a portion of the paid social team, in their ability to drive success, and support the Paid Social Strategy Manager and channel lead. This role requires a deep understanding of paid social, leadership skills, and the ability to develop and execute innovative strategies. The Paid Social Strategy Assistant Manager will guide their portion of the Paid Social team, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure that paid se efforts align with overall business objectives. The Assistant Manager is expected to have strong knowledge and understanding of aspects of paid social. They are to exercises independent discretion and judgment on significant matters of strategy, and activation collaborating with the Head of Paid Social Strategy and Activation.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement paid social strategies aligned with business goals. Oversee operational plans, analyze data, and resolve issues. Use judgment to create programs and strategies that meet annual objectives.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Oversee their portion of the paid social team (including the Paid Social Specialist, and Paid Social Senior Specialist), providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Communicates recommendations and results effectively across job areas. Actively listens and responds to colleagues' concerns to engage them towards goals. Promotes cooperation and explains information to subordinates and peers. Mentors' junior employees, providing coaching on difficult issues. Builds teams with the right mix of talent and experience, making intentional hiring decisions. Recognizes and rewards development both publicly and privately.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage key stakeholder relationships, providing strategic recommendations and performance updates. Handle diverse challenges with multiple moving parts, developing plans and viewing the whole picture. Work independently, with reviews at critical points.
- Budget Management & Forecasting: Develop and manage paid social budgets, forecasting performance and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze overall program performance, identify trends, and provide strategic insights to stakeholders.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay current with paid social trends and best practices, implementing new strategies and technologies. Develop and deliver solutions, driving cross-team efforts. Lead by example, taking responsibility, acknowledging mistakes, and being accountable for goals. Address diverse issues with innovative methods and propose alternative approaches.
