Job Description: As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for controls system designs, specifications, documentation, programming, troubleshooting, testing and installation for automations and manufacturing equipment. Responsible for all software driven controls and process controls including temperature, position, force and control. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Controls/installations for Poke-Yokes: part processing verifications, maintain instructions and documentation, poke yoke verification intiations, enforcing quality specifications
- Manufacturing Support: Machine troubleshooting and repair/Line Support. Spare and replacement parts for machines/automations. Upgrading machine controls. Improving manufacturing throughput. Support Run at Rates. Change control, Controls upgrade.
- Plant improvement initiatives: Support Kaizen projects. Controls for and installations of Poke-Yokes. Part processing verifications, Instructions and documentation, Poke Yoke verification initiation- Red rabbits, MRB, Spare parts
- New program launches: Aid with planning, Design, construction, installation of automations, Start up support and improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in industrial machine controls and automation systems
- 3-5 years of operations experience with industrial manufacturing controls systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of production processes and quality control standards.
- Knowledge of NEC (national electric code), PLC and HMI programming, vision system implementation, computer skills, AutoCAD or other
