Job Purpose
Provides for the acquisition, development, maintenance, and support of information technologies and tools required to facilitate the internal clients’ business operations and interaction with external business partners and customers. Provides application development support throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle. Acts as the liaison between the internal client and external development resources communicating and clarifying requirements, facilitating testing feedback, and managing the deliverables.
Key Accountabilities
Independently identifies business process improvement opportunities across LOB’s and builds business case to encourage implementation. Reviews new business process designs or process design changes for conformance to existing standards and strategies; issues recommendations to CAB/BDC. Develop metrics to judge success.
Performs process analysis, requirements definition, design and simulation of FICO, OTC, PTP, or SCM functions. Works with technical team and end users to map new business processes or potential enhancements on SAP and interfaced systems. Coordinates work of consultants and/or AMS engaged for specific initiatives for the assigned functional area.
Owns and maintains functional design documentation to reflect business process changes, in accordance with Change Management policies. Ensures functional business requests are consistent with governance strategy and the IS business support model. Coordinates effectively between functional, AMS, and technical team members to deliver break/fix and enhancement changes.
Communicates change impact items to user community timely & effectively
Create and maintain systems documentation including high-level design, process maps, features, and dependencies
Determine best method to affect training of operators on new applications/modifications and support development of training documentation. Select and train “Super Users” where appropriate.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience (Required)

International travel (Required)
Other Job-Specific Skills:
Extensive experience with enterprise application development and support
Familiarity with sales, purchasing, and manufacturing operations
Exposure to accounting and finance principles and standards
Implementation of enterprise applications
Experience configuring and supporting enterprise applications in production at Honda Trading of America (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, eMO, Amber Road, PLEX, 3rdwave)

No. of Direct Reports: 0
No. of Indirect Reports: 3-5 functional AMS contractor consultants
Financial Dimensions: Analysis of month-end closing reports and financial statements in support of LOB’s and Accounting & Finance
Decisions Expected
Prioritization of daily activities to meet agreed objectives and requests to re-prioritize activities, revise schedules, or get additional resources to achieve agreed objectives
Determining need for conference calls and meetings and proposed meeting times, locations, attendees, and agenda as necessary
When to escalate an issue to Supervisor and a proposed course of action based on understanding of situation
Establish contacts with outside trading partners for initial setup and issue resolution
Resolve daily operational issues through collaboration with software vendor
