JUNIOR DESIGN ENGINEER
ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you ready to start your career at the heart of world-class motorsport engineering? We’re looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join our forward-thinking and passionate Design Office. This is a rare opportunity to develop your career with some of the most iconic cars in motorsport, working in fast-paced and innovative environment alongside experienced Design Engineers.
As a Junior Design Engineer, you’ll support the design and development of high-performance motorsport components and assemblies. You’ll be working with cutting-edge tools and technologies, assisting in delivering performance and reliability enhancements across all programmes.
The role and responsibilities include:
Delivering innovative engineering solutions.
Assisting in the design and development of mechanical components for motorsport applications.
Producing detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
Supporting prototype builds and test activities.
Collaborating with other departments including, manufacturing, and build teams.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in performance, reliability, and efficiency.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
Educated to MEng or BEng degree level in Motorsport, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering, and have good knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably CATIA V5.
Have the fundamental knowledge of the latest electrical system and materials is essential, and preferably in Automotive.
Have a meticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills, and share our determination to deliver the very best results.
Pride yourself on delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
Preferred Experience:
Previous work experience in a Design Office setting on an industrial placement year, or hands on practical experience (either volunteering on race weekends or formula student) would be beneficial.
