We are looking for an intern available from September 2025 for a period of 6 to 12 months (mandatory internship agreement).
Within the Competitor Safety Group, the Competitor Safety Engineer Trainee focuses on supporting projects related to the research, development and implementation of the safety equipment regulations for driver safety and vehicle safety.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support to establish new safety standards, procedures and regulations, performing the relevant background research and literature review when necessary.
- Organizing and implementing the support document for the creation or modification of Safety Equipment Standard
- Create draft version of new / modified Safety Equipment Standard following the instruction received.
Support the development of prototypes hand-in-hand with safety equipment manufacturers
- Transmit the instruction received to the Safety equipment manufacturer
- Regularly monitor and catch-up with the Safety equipment manufacturer
- Deliver the prototype to the relevant people
Provide assistance to the Competitor Safety Group
- Drafting safety standards and safety regulations
- Supporting the assignment of new homologations
- Preparation of post-homologation tests
- Analysing homologation test reports
- Data analysis
Preparation and attendance of meetings, either internal or external.
- Organizing and implementing the support document for the meeting preparation
- Organizing and creating the meeting summary document.
PROFILE:
- Engineering student in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Fluency in English, French is a Plus.
- Strong desire to understand and apply international technical standards in a practical context.
- Experience in Motorsport Federation activities is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD software, VBA coding and MATLAB are an advantage.
- Basics knowledge of AutoCAD or other design tool.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
