Michelin has an immediate opportunity at our American Synthetic Rubber Company (ASRC) chemical plant in Louisville, KY, for an Environmental Specialist. This position ensures site compliance with regulations and internal requirements. What you will do
- Develop and implement action plans based on gap analyses.
- Ensure the site's compliance with regulations and internal standards.
- Maintain relevant risk analyses and action plans.
- Present an annual review during the Environmental Management Review of the site.
- Implement operational controls and test emergency plans.
- Inform, influence, and consult employees and internal/external collaborators on Safety and Environment matters.
- Champion groundbreaking change within the organization and beyond.
- Detect and adjust abnormal situations.
- Provide technical support during audits or in the event of an environmental crisis impacting the site.
What you will bring
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree focused in Environmental or equivalent Industrial experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with other programs such as Power BI, OSI PI, etc., is a plus.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Proven teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and process/product relationship knowledge.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
