Role:
The primary responsibility will be to ensure, on behalf of the Project Management and Engineering teams, the timely acquisition of vehicle homologation and registration while optimizing the resources involved.
Homologation activities enable automotive manufacturers to market their vehicles worldwide by certifying compliance with applicable regulations. These regulations represent technical requirements for user safety and emissions/consumption standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team accountable for Vehicle homologation management and get the type approvals for main market and secondary (export) markets in accordance with the committed plan.
- Shall guarantee that the vehicles are produceable, saleable and registerable in time in all the approved countries.
- Lead the development of country-specific homologation schedules, ensuring alignment with the overall project roadmap and key development milestones.
- Oversee the planning and forecasting of homologation testing activities, and facilitate negotiations with homologation teams to identify and implement optimization opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between engineering and homologation teams to ensure timely preparation for tests and the delivery of required inputs.
- Provide high-level reporting to the Project Team, offering clear, strategic updates on homologation and registration progress to support informed decision-making.
- Drive compliance initiatives during series production, including oversight of Conformity of Production testing and market surveillance audits, ensuring effective governance and issue resolution where needed.
Qualifications:
- Generalist engineering degree with a focus on Project Management, or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in regulation and homologation
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills
- Rigor, critical thinking, and problem-solving mindset
- Strong organizational and teamwork abilities
- Experience in transversal project coordination
- Proficiency in French and English.
