We are looking for a person to be hired within the
Research & Development Global Central Function who will be responsible for Testing of electronic systems and components, from concept through to production. This role requires a strong background in electronics and testing, a creative approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Main responsibilities:
- Analyze and process hardware specifications of electronic control units (from customers and/or suppliers) for embedded and safety critical and ASPICE compliant applications within mechatronic systems (braking and non-braking).
- Define the validation plan with the customer and suppliers, analyze and/or produce the test specifications and following the execution from development to validation, both in-house and at suppliers.
- Contribute to the definition of test strategy and V&V plan.
- Define the test execution plan.
- Ensure preparation and execution of EE/EMC tests for the development and validation of mechatronic/HW systems and components on benches and vehicles, in times and ways established with the relevant Manager/Coordinator.
- Responsible for data analysis and developing of new tools.
- Responsible for compiling and editing test reports and documentation.
- Ensure the analysis of issues, search for possible causes and proposing possible solutions.
- Manage electronic instrumentation and components with particular attention on calibration and usage requirements, as well as safety aspects.
- Chose components for automotive wiring harnesses, make connection system design, follow prototyping and debugging.
- Ensure continuous critical preventive control activity in terms of system safety, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Contribute to the definition of specific documents, methods, procedures, processes and tools for the area of its competence.
- Contribute to the definition, implementation and commissioning of new types of instruments, test benches and Loads.
- Support the system test, electromechanical validation and road test teams with regard to electrical/electronic aspects.
- Support the transition of designs from prototype to manufacturing, addressing DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) considerations, in collaboration with electronic layout experts.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in electronics design.
Minimum requirements:
- Master Degree in Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering;
- Good knowledge of English language;
- 3-5 years’ Experience in electronic testing in automotive sector, in particular regarding ECU.
- Good knowledge of data analysis (Data analysis tool and methods, Data visualization, Data pre/post processing);
- Proficiency in electronic measuring tools (e.g.: oscilloscope, multimeter, voltmeter, …);
- Proficiency in definition of test cases and procedures, implementation, setup, execution, post-processing analysis, and reporting
- Knowledge of EE/EMC standards
- Hands-on ability required
Nice to have:
- Communication with Suppliers and external entities
- Proficiency in using EE/EMC testing software (e.g.: Autowave (EMtest), Isocontrol (EMtest), … ).
