This is a varied and hands-on office/lab-based role perfect for an individual with a passion for electronics and a customer-focused approach. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive hardware support to our global customer base and distributor network, alongside playing a key part in the testing, calibration, and repair of our cutting-edge product range.
Your Responsibilities:
• Handle the end-to-end process of customer returns and repairs, from initial contact and fault diagnosis through to completion.
• Perform precise calibrations of customer equipment to the stringent standards of our UKAS ISO\IEC:17025 accreditation.
• Provide efficient and knowledgeable first-line technical support to our global distributors and customers via email and telephone.
• Offer internal technical support, which often involves in-depth product research to provide accurate and timely responses.
• Proactively identify recurring fault trends and contribute to our database of common issues to improve product reliability and support efficiency.
• Test, diagnose, and repair Racelogic's diverse range of products, ensuring adherence to our high-quality standards.
Requirements:
• Demonstrable recent experience working within an electronics manufacturing and/or product servicing environment.
• Excellent written communication skills with a clear and concise style, coupled with a polite and professional telephone manner.
• A thorough understanding of electronics principles and circuit design.
• Proven ability to perform both surface mount and through-hole soldering to a high standard.
• Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to diagnose issues down to the component level.
• Hands-on experience using a variety of electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow documented assembly and test procedures.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A keen interest in technology, particularly within the automotive industry.
• A positive attitude and strong collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Buckingham MK18.
Desired Additional Skills:
• Exposure to GNSS (GPS) and automotive-based technologies.
• Understanding of various testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Qualified to ONC/HNC or Level 4 equivalent in Electronics.
• Exposure or understanding of programming/scripting languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.
• Full clean UK driving license.
