Work Arrangement Onsite - This position requires the employee to be onsite full time. The location for the role will be the General Motors Global Technical Center in Warren, MI. The Role Join the Program Execution Team at the GM Advanced Robotics Center as an Electrical Systems Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical architecture of an internal robotics program. You will work closely with a team of engineers to develop underwriters laboratory (UL) certified devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge robotics technology and establish best practices for future projects. What You’ll Do Design and develop the electrical systems for an advanced robotics program including component selection, Bill of Materials creation and management Ensure all designs meet UL certification requirements and adhere to IEC, TUV, and ISO standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components. Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure performance and safety.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): 5+ years of professional experience in electrical system design, with a focus on UL certified devices. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools. Experience generating requirements for robotics or related Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience. What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): Experience with International Electrical Technical Commission and ISO standards. Experience in the robotics industry. Experience in wiring harness design Experience in industrial controls and associated requirements Familiarity with advanced communication protocols such as CAN and ethernet. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. This role may be eligible for relocation benefits. #LI-BC1
