Job Purpose:
To provide parts expertise and support to the business, taking a total ownership approach to all parts related activities, including planning and pricing; procurement and inventory management; parts interpretation; order and back order management; reporting, and support and training to the Porsche Centre Network. Ensure all commercial and operational requirements are considered in line with PCGB and PAG company guidelines and procedures.
Core Specific Responsibilities:
Planning
- Input into the formulation of key business strategies related to parts pricing, inventory and support requirements in the UK and Ireland working in close liaison with PAG and PCGB departments
- Utilise data resources and analysis to instigate pricing, inventory and support initiatives for all product categories
- Provide inputs in line with the required timeline for the annual PAG planning processes
- Preparation of materials to support internal and external business activities related to parts, inventory and support
Pricing
- Responsible for parts pricing including mainstream ET/AT parts as well as Porsche Selection; Tequipment and local product ranges
- Liaison with Porsche Centres to discuss specific issues around parts pricing highlighted by price support request system
- Seeking agreement and sign off for pricing driven initiatives where required, through a combination of strong business argumentation and cross-functional support including PAG
- Implementation where appropriate and adherence to PAG pricing guidelines and policies
Inventory
- Manage the processes related to the procurement and delivery of parts from PAG and other suppliers
- Monitor Porsche Centre stock holding and PCGB stock holding taking appropriate action when required to reduce, return, or replenish stock balancing availability and costs and working within agreed targets
- Work with the Global Inventory Management team to process weekly stock and daily express orders for parts supplied by PAG monitoring deliveries and taking appropriate action to resolve any issues
- Manage the processes related to credit/debit notes on parts deliveries and parts returns / warranty to PAG and other suppliers
- Monitor ASR parameters working with the Porsche Centres to amend according to the business requirements.
Support
- Review; develop; map and implement all parts systems, policies and procedures/processes ensuring corporate guidelines and standards are met
- Deal with Customer enquiries from the Porsche Centre Network, advising solutions and managing issues through to full resolution
- Manage the order and back order situation for Porsche Centres ensuring escalations are managed appropriately and relevant communications distributed within the business
- Provide analysis and reporting for all parts categories and key performance indicators for the department taking ownership for improvement initiatives
- Work cross functionally with other internal and external departments ensuring appropriate communication of parts related issues in order to provide exceptional customer service
- Initiate, input and deliver appropriate parts related training programmes for the Porsche Centre Network
- Provide a parts interpretation service to the Porsche Centre Network utilising the appropriate systems and identifying improvements as required
Events
- Supporting the Ownership Department with marketing activities, including but not limited to:
- Attending and supporting marketing events such as Goodwood Revival and the Classic Car Show
- Supporting the organisation of ownership marketing events by ordering the required parts stock, setting up displays etc
