Reporting to: Group Financial Controller

Xtrac also has a new partnership with Zoerkler, a specialist in gear manufacture and precision engineering. This strategic venture marks a significant step forward in our ambitious growth plans and reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class transmission components and systems to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Management Accounts & Internal Reporting
Prepare key monthly journals including prepayments, accruals, and WIP classification.
Produce monthly management accounts and assisting with consolidation.
Maintain and update the Epicor ERP system (GL codes, departments, cost centres, etc.).
Review credit card and cashbook transactions.
Administer the electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme transactions.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
Support ad hoc financial analysis.
Group Reporting
Compile the weekly 13-week cash flow forecast.
Review and distribute the daily liquidity report.
Support information request from investors.
Credit Control & Accounts Receivable
Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure prompt customer payments.
Highlight overdue debts and risks to relevant stakeholders.
Produce weekly forecasts of expected cash receipts.
Manage customer deposit profiles and support customs paperwork with logistics.
Statutory & Compliance
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
Coordinate with external accountants for annual statutory accounts across group entities.
Lead statutory audits with external auditors, ensuring timely provision of audit evidence.
Submit Gender Pay Gap reports and other national statistics as required.
Submit ONS surveys on various business operations.
Line management
Management and mentoring of part qualified accounts assistant.
What You’ll Bring
Essential
Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Proven ability to work autonomously under pressure to meet deadlines.
High level of confidentiality and professional integrity.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Flexible and adaptable team player.
Desirable
Experience from a top-tier accountancy firm.
Prior exposure to ERP systems (e.g. Epicor).
Knowledge of internal and external stakeholder management.
