About the role:
A vacancy has arisen for a CMM Inspector within the Machine Shop Inspection Department.
Reporting to the Machine Shop Inspection Team Leader, you will be responsible for the efficient inspection and verification of components, to ensure adherence to specification, in accordance with defined procedures and priorities.
This role operates Monday to Friday on an early/late shift rotation. Early shift starts at 06:00 finishing at 14:30 and late shift begins at 14:00 finishing at 22:30.
Key Accountabilities (Duties):
Operating CMM machines to validate dimensional accuracy of components against drawing specifications.
Programming of CMM machines using PCDMIS metrology software.
Efficient use of measuring, gauging and inspection tools to validate mechanical and visual characteristics of components.
Strict adherence to drawings, defined operating procedures and work instructions.
Flexible approach to working in order to achieve lead times, within a fast-paced environment.
Working within defined Health and Safety guidelines.
Candidate profile:
The successful candidate will come from an engineering background, possess relevant qualifications and have a strong working knowledge of engineering drawings, alongside a strong knowledge and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience within a Motorsport or similar environment, F1 industry experience is welcomed.
Computer literate: including Microsoft Suite and SAP (or similar ERP).
Conscientious mind-set and a keen eye for detail, as accuracy is paramount.
You will possess effective communication skills and will have the ability to remain focused and objective under pressure.
You will be able to demonstrate a process mind-set with the capability for logically solving complex problems.
Resilient and professional with a belief in the concept of Continuous Improvement.
Energetic with a strong work ethic and customer focus.
Flexibility in hours and a can-do approach is required, along with the ability to work in a team, under pressure and to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
