COTA Karting Ambassador (Part-Time) Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. Opening in 2025, COTA’s amusement park is a 20-acre theme park featuring two first of their kind Roller Coasters and over three dozen rides.
Job Description:
The Karting Ambassador role is not a front desk receptionist hiding behind a desk, generating paperwork, and swiping credit cards. At COTA, the Karting Ambassador owns the guest experience, ensuring that any need is met and opportunities to make our guest’s visit special are never missed. Karting Ambassadors are memorable hosts, passionate about building community, creating inclusive spaces, and fostering relationships with the guests that visit COTA all year long. Karting Ambassadors know the ins and outs of the COTA venue and are highly versed in all things Karting. Supporting the guest experience and interacting with COTA guests (whether satisfaction or dissatisfaction) will be at the heart of every Karting Ambassador.
Requirements
Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Own all aspects of a guest’s experience from beginning to end by ensuring accurate and thorough reservation details, an inviting arrival, recommendation of local experiences, and a seamless departure ascertaining satisfaction throughout and adjusting as necessary.
- Assist guests as they explore our store, sharing knowledge of COTA products and tying those purchases to the overall experience and events at COTA.
- Build and grow COTA Karting online community by identifying key influencers, creating engagement strategies, and monitoring community feedback.
- Monitoring and responding to customer inquiries across various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn in a timely and professional manner.
- Creating and maintaining a knowledge base of frequently asked questions (FAQs) to provide consistent and accurate responses to customer inquiries.
- Create and support the COTA Karting brand in collaboration with COTA Marketing Team.
- Consistently monitoring and measuring employee morale, using COTA guest feedback to make positive changes.
- This is an onsite position.

- Must maintain a professional appearance and a cordial attitude toward all guests and staff.
- Able to handle the stress of high customer demand in a hospitality environment.
- Must be people-oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed.
- Must be able to easily and frequently change from one activity to another.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Able to work well within a team environment.
- Able to maintain a flexible work schedule to deal effectively with special event responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have 1 year of work experience in customer service or sales/marketing.
- Charismatic presence/personality ready to create an upbeat environment.
- High School diploma preferred, not required.
Physical Demand & Work Environments:
This position breakdown will be a variety of office work, event operations, and Karting procedures. Office work entails computer usage, communications via email, phone, and in-person, and sorting and filing paperwork. Events may occur outdoors with movement between temporary structures, buildings, and different terrains.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling throughout the entire venue with bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and in high or precarious places.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.
- Able to be outside for a prolonged period.
- The noise level in the work environment can range from moderate to loud.
