Position Overview
We are seeking a Hardware Support Specialist to join our Customer Service team in Fremont, CA. This role is responsible for assisting customers with technical inquiries, troubleshooting product installations, and providing expert guidance on 034Motorsport’s performance parts and hardware solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about automotive performance, has hands-on experience with vehicle modifications, and excels in customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
Provide prompt and professional hardware support to customers via phone, email, and live chat.
Diagnose and troubleshoot product installation issues, fitment concerns, and general performance inquiries.
Assist customers with selecting the right 034Motorsport products based on their needs and vehicle applications.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of 034Motorsport’s product offerings and industry trends.
Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to provide feedback and improve product support resources.
Create and update technical documentation, FAQs, and installation guides for customer reference.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer support processes and overall customer experience.
Assist in the building and development of the internal knowledge base, ensuring technical information is accurately documented and easily accessible for both customers and internal teams.
Support product recall processes by assisting customers with recall-related inquiries, troubleshooting concerns, and ensuring proper resolution in coordination with the internal teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
Strong technical knowledge of Audi and Volkswagen vehicles, including performance modifications and hardware installation.
Prior experience in a technical support, customer service, or automotive repair role is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with aftermarket performance parts installation is highly preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues effectively.
Passion for automotive performance and a strong desire to help customers achieve their goals.
Proficiency with CRM systems, online support platforms, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
Must be available to work two company events per year: SummerFest and WinterFest.
Strong problem-solving skills: The ability to assess issues efficiently, think critically, and provide clear, effective solutions for customers. Must be able to adapt to different challenges, handle technical escalations, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex product-related concerns.
Must be a team player with a positive attitude: A collaborative mindset is essential in this role. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented environment, actively contributes to group problem-solving, and is willing to help colleagues when needed.
