IT Specialist – Bristol Motor Speedway
Speedway Motorsports, LLC, a leading marketer, promoter, and sponsor of motorsports entertainment in the United States, is seeking an IT Specialist for full-time employment at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN.
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent experience. Availability for after-hours support and event weekends is required. Candidates with flexibility to travel are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
· Technical Support & IT Operations
- Provide day-to-day IT support for approximately 50 employees.
- Install, configure, and update software and hardware.
- Maintain and support AV equipment and WiFi networks.
- Troubleshoot and install wired and wireless networks.
- Configure and support Apple and Android mobile products.
- Support and maintain printers and VoIP phone systems.
· Network & Cybersecurity Support
- Manage network infrastructure, including wireless bridging and fiber optic networking.
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents and maintain security best practices.
- Support remote staff with networking and server maintenance.
· Project Management & Infrastructure
- Plan and implement IT projects with minimal disruption.
- Document IT processes and system configurations.
- Occasionally perform physical tasks such as cable installation and hardware mounting.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
· Networking & Server Administration
- Hands-on experience with mainstream networking products.
- Microsoft Server products
- Virtualization platforms and backup suites.
- VOIP and digital handsets.
· Cloud & Security Technologies
- Cloud data providers and SaaS platforms.
- Remote management and cyber security tools.
· Soft Skills & Additional Qualifications
- Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus.
