Position Summary: As a Level 1 Motorsports Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and upgrading vehicles in line with factory and motorsport standards. Your attention to detail, commitment to quality, and strong work ethic will contribute to the success of our operations and the satisfaction of our clients. This position involves performing routine maintenance, entry-level repairs, and parts installation, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold and demonstrate the core values of SP Motorsports in all interactions.
Provide exceptional customer service to foster client loyalty.
Conduct thorough inspections and tests on vehicles, identifying necessary adjustments.
Meet productivity and efficiency targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
Accurately document all hours worked in the company’s timekeeping system.
Perform multi-point inspections and make recommendations to enhance vehicle safety and reliability.
Complete assigned service work as outlined in repair orders with precision.
Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Competently remove and replace interior and exterior panels.
Maintain detailed records of work performed on vehicles.
Keep an organized and safe workspace to promote efficiency.
Research and request necessary parts for repairs.
Inventory and manage assigned special tools effectively.
Communicate regularly with supervisors to manage production and customer expectations.
Participate in additional projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening and background check.
High school diploma preferred; vocational school certification or apprenticeship completion is a plus.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience with demonstrated efficiency and productivity.
Preferred brand certifications.
Ability to operate a manual transmission.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Strong mechanical skills and manual dexterity.
Proficient in using power and hand tools, as well as heavy machinery.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks.
