We have a new opportunity to be part of our Electronics team in the role of Junior Electronics Engineer. In this role, you will develop, test and calibrate assemblies for on and off car electrical installations and provide support for instrumentation and electronic development projects within the Company
Responsibilities:
Development, maintenance, and support of new and existing electronic/electrical assemblies.
Design and development of new equipment and procedures to improve efficiency.
Assist in the development of embedded software for electronic assemblies.
Assist with development of the software tools to support the test and calibration activities within the organisation (using LabView, Visual Basic, C, C#, etc).
Support for the development of new instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
Support for the development of new sensors/sensing techniques.
Key skills and knowledge required:
Experience of analogue and digital electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout and processes involved with unit development/production.
Experience of developing microcontroller systems for sensor data acquisition and processing.
Experience in developing unit firmware.
Knowledge of principles of sensor design.
Knowledge of sensor signal conditioning interface designs.
Knowledge of harness/loom design.
Be proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, drawing, etc PC software packages.
Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales
Strong problem solving skills
To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a changing environment
Possess commitment and proven reliability
Be enthusiastic and versatile
Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues
Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of, and commitment to, Health & Safety
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
