As part of our commitment to provide an outstanding customer experience at Donington Park Circuit, we are looking to further enhance our Facilities and Maintenance team, seeking an enthusiastic Venue Maintenance Foreman to assist with the upkeep of our 690 acre site, comprising of park land, woodland and hard landscaped areas.
Donington Park is one of the UK’s most historic motorsport venues hosting an array of national and international events, including the British Touring Car Championship, Bennetts British Superbike Championship, the World Superbike Championship, and Download Festival. The venue not only consists of the race circuit itself, however, boasts a plethora of VIP hospitality suites, restaurants, offices and outbuildings across the site.
As the Venue Maintenance Foreman, you will be responsible for leading the team of maintenance operatives that oversee the upkeep of Donington Park’s extensive facilities, ensuring that they are kept in top condition.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who enjoys working outdoors and is enthusiastic in taking pride in what they do and having high attention to detail in their work. You will be spending the majority of your day outside working as part of the maintenance team reporting into the Track and Estates Manager.
The main duties in this role:
To lead and direct the team in their day-to-day tasks ensuring their work / tasks are completed satisfactorily.
To be active in the physical work and be willing to get stuck in with the day to day maintenance tasks
To assist the Estates and Track Manager in the day-to-day management of Maintenance team.
To help ensure Maintenance team staff prioritise daily tasks and are working in a productive and organised manner
To support the Estates and Track Manager in completing and monitoring the team rota to cover all evening and weekend events as required.
To assist the Estates and Track Manager in maintaining the required standard of presentation on track and around venue at all times, and to ensure track complies with relevant licence conditions at all times.
To assist where necessary in the construction of new works on the venue as required, including pricing and quantification of works, ordering of materials subject to SMT approval and delivery of works to the required quality standards.
You must be / have:
Proven experience in a senior maintenance / facilities role, with prior experience managing a team
Strong technical skills in a trade (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, groundworks, general building maintenance)
Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively
Full UK driving licence is essential
The ability to take pride for your work
