You will join the Brand Experience team and sit within MTC Experiences, reporting to the Manager, and be part of the team that delivers brand experiences at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre for our key stakeholders including Partners, the team, and guests. You will be involved in strategic projects and experiences with end-to-end delivery of some truly world-class McLaren brand experiences.
Working on a variety of events, you will deliver interactive, exciting, and unique brand experiences to optimise guest interaction with the brand, highlighting key messaging throughout and driving emotional engagement.
The successful applicant will have direct responsibility for their own events as well as supporting the team in wider projects and initiatives working in a high-performance environment.
You will ensure all activations represent the McLaren Brand and are positioned as world-class to generate commercial opportunities for McLaren throughout all touch points.
This role requires a high volume of administration as well as being on site for events in Woking. Whilst most events are pre-planned, some are often very last minute, so flexibility and agility are key to this position. Significant collaboration across multiple business functions is essential to ensure the commercial success of all events and the wider business. It requires a high level of attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and be highly organised as well as adaptable.
Whilst there is hybrid working in place, due to the nature of the role, it will be essential for the candidate to be office based for most of the working week. The role also requires unsociable hours including weekends and long event days on your feet.
The role is fast-paced and varied, with a team who are determined and looks to push boundaries in everything they do through continuous review and innovation. The goal is to provide the best cutting edge leading experiences! The successful candidate will need to be relentless in the pursuit of better, and always look for ways to improve and build efficiencies across working practices. The events we deliver span across all five of our championships and you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive innovation, learning and broader development.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Planning, administration, and execution of a variety of key stakeholder events delivered to the McLaren world-class standard. Events range in size and complexity, including but not limited to, networking events, tours, meetings, employee engagement events, large-scale boulevard dinners, conferences, race viewings and content capture.
- Support the team with other events as required on the day and sometimes in the planning.
- On-site event management, working with various internal and external stakeholders to oversee logistics and ensure delivery to the McLaren standard.
- Deal with conflicting and challenging situations as they arise to ensure no impact to the guest experience.
- Administration of event enquiries, ensuring bookings are managed in a timely manner.
- Working with the team to schedule events and manage conflicting requirements.
- Detailed recording of event specifics to ensure accurate reporting via our database.
- Budget creation and management for each event, ensuring stakeholders have given budget approval and finance systems are updated to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Creation and timely distribution of event schedules to ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date and able to deliver on requirements.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are met.
- Ordering of event collateral.
- Supplier bookings and briefings for own event requirements, ensuring kept up to date and working within guidelines set.
- Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their objectives and business challenges.
- Some day-to-day supplier management.
- Collaborate on projects to ensure the continuous development of the guest experience at all events.
- Continuous review of relevant processes to ensure operational efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Significant proven experience in a similar events role in either a corporate, hotel, or sporting environment with customer focus
- Able to manage own workload and prioritise around changing requirements.
- Strong IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Microsoft Office packages.
- Extremely high level of attention to detail.
- Highly organised.
- Agile and able to adapt style to work with stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren
Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking.
