We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vehicle Dynamics Modelling Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Vehicle Simulation team. You will be responsible for developing real time vehicle simulation models in C and/or C++. You will play a crucial role in creating a realistic and accurate driving simulation environment for offline simulation and driving simulator usage, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and software developers. We aim to innovate and accelerate the wider deployment of state-of-the-art Digital Twin and driving simulation technologies, applied to Toyota GR vehicle development programmes.

Your Tasks:
develop and maintain the TGR-E in-house vehicle simulation model (DynSim) using C and/or C++
collaborate with other TGR-E members to integrate provided subsystem models and support their code optimization (e.g. for real time capability)
calibrate and configure simulator components to meet project requirements
troubleshoot vehicle model issues or malfunctions during driving simulator sessions
stay updated with the latest advancements in driving simulation technology and contribute to research projects
The successful candidate will:
hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
have strong proficiency in C, C++, a clean code mindset and a high attention to detail
possess a solid understanding for mathematical modelling of physical systems, ideally from vehicle dynamics
have several years of experience in a relevant engineering / software development field
be familiar with numerical integration methods to solve dynamical models
have knowledge about real-time simulation environments, such as dSpace Scalexio or Concurrent Simulation Workbench
identify with automotive/racing simulation requirements and have a passion for the latest software technology developments
have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
