What awaits you?
- You collaborate with our PhD candidates on topics regarding shape and size optimization of stiffened structures in the context of hybrid manufacturing.
- Here, you gain experience in scientific work, prototype development, and presenting results.
- You develop your scientific skills, including literature research, idea development, analysis, and communication.
- Additionally, you implement state-of-the-art methodologies in shape and size optimization, FEA, WAAM, and hybrid manufacturing.
- Your results will be communicated internally and, if necessary, externally.
What should you bring along?
- University degree in mechanical, aerospace, or structural engineering, or a comparable field of study.
- Good knowledge in shape, structural, and topology optimization.
- Experience in CAE software (e.g., ANSA, OptiStruct).
- Programming experience (Python, MATLAB).
- Interest in additive manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
