POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Marketing Engagement Coordinator will support Penske Entertainment’s growing portfolio of racing events, including Detroit, Iowa, Nashville, and Arlington. This role is responsible for executing digital marketing campaigns—primarily through email and website content—to drive ticket sales and enhance fan engagement.
This position will manage the email marketing calendar, build and send email campaigns, maintain accurate website information, and collaborate with agency partners and internal teams across Ticketing, Operations, and Marketing. A strong understanding of email platforms, content strategy, and campaign performance metrics is essential, along with basic HTML and CMS experience.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Weekend hours and occasional travel will be required to support major event weekends.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Email and database marketing execution to promote events, merchandise and initiatives.
- Management of distribution lists and audience segmentation, ensuring targeted and personalized communication.
- Ensure full compliance with consumer privacy laws/regulations
- Implementation of regular testing, through data-driven insights and optimization to refine content, ensure deliverability, inspire engagement, maximize efficiencies and conversions.
- Continual platform auditing to ensure content accuracy, consistent style and branding, and adherence to current best practices.
- Maintaining website content and site navigation via CMS tool
- Leverage marketing automation, CRM and website assets.
- Provide recommendations to improve the fan/customer journey and experience, offering new or improved capabilities that drive results.
- Manage Google Ads, provide basic web analytics reports
- Write first draft copy for web and email content
- Recommend different subject lines, content blocks, and up sell items for emails
- Build and send emails end to end – copy writing, image editing, basic HTML, Adobe Marketo
- Organize web content update calls with Ops, box office, and PR teams to ensure website information is accurate
- Take direction and input from multiple stake holders
- Provide estimates on tasks, communicate competing priorities, and manage/track your own work
- Weekends and after-hours are required during major events supported
- Communicate when unknowns become a risk to project timelines and need to be addressed
- Collaborate with internal and external customers, including the Ticketing, Marketing, Credentials, Premium Services, Guest Experience, and Event Management Departments as needed regarding project deliverables
- Make recommendations and communicate trade-offs and risks
- Stay up to date with new industry trends and share knowledge with others
- Write and maintain documentation as needed

Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college preferred, preferably in marketing or relevant program.
Skills/Experience
- A minimum of two to four years of relevant professional experience.
- Prior experience in email marketing, preferably in the sports, e-commerce, or entertainment industry.
- Experience with digital marketing platforms and tools, including Google Analytics, SEO software, Adobe Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar email marketing systems.
- Ability to collaborate with design and development teams to implement website updates and enhancements.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, targeting, and personalization strategies in email marketing. Experience with a CRM or similar system to enrich customer records and build targeted segments is preferred.
- Analytical skills to interpret performance metrics and optimize campaign performance.
- Familiarity with marketing automation and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to email marketing and website compliance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels. This role requires the ability to understand strategic goals, share insights clearly, and foster open, transparent communication.

Travel/Work Hours
- General office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Longer hours and weekends required for major racing events
- Occasional travel to Nashville, Iowa, and Arlington may be required
