Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motor sport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military, and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composite materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment.
Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircrafts, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEED, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE, and PP.
Summary of Functions:
The Account Manager II will manage Toray's key targeted customers in the Southeast region by growing relationships and identifying future opportunities. This role will create a strategic business plan that reflects the customer's business objectives and strategies. The Account Manager II will work with Toray's internal team to support customers with new product design and qualifications of key accounts. Additionally, this person should have a strong understanding of the client's objectives, needs and challenges to ensure their demands are met. This role will manage several accounts spread across their territory and/or market segment, as applicable. The ability to frequently travel to visit customers, manufacturing plans, and attend business meetings is required and occurs regularly.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage current sales and the development of new sales to achieve the optimum balance of profitability and market share
Create a strategic business plan that reflects the customer's objectives/strategies and align those objectives with Toray's
Understand the customer's structure and demonstrate the ability to apply this knowledge in business and sales growth as well as sales retention for the customer
Work with internal teams to support customers with new product design and qualification of key accounts
Develop sales strategies to target existing and potential accounts
Work towards revenue targets and KPI's as set by the department or company
Responsible for the overall interaction and account satisfaction of the customer
Develop strong relationships with the customer at various levels and internal relationships within the company to strengthen the overall relationship
Ensure all customer and account-facing services are provided in a consistent and timely fashion
Resolve or appropriately escalate customer service issues in conjunction with operations; including enlisting the support of various departments such as Quality, Expert Services, Purchasing, and Production
Coordinate with the Compliance department on regulations and the implications to customer impact
Prepare and support forecasts, pricing documentation, presentations of customer reports with meaningful analytics, trends, and recommendations for program improvement based on findings
Lead, direct, and guide the organization toward material qualification targets which assures and expanded sales base and increased customer penetration
Provider direction and customer feedback to various departments. R&D for new required products, Expert Services on qualifications and product-related technical problems, and Production or Quality Assurance on current material performance
Assess and contribute to direction of new product development activities, establishment of market pricing and contract negotiations, and the path of product qualification to key programs
Provide a high level of support to our Inside Sales, Quality, and Production teams in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business
Build partnerships with consumers and Toray to resolve service issues within a timely manner
Accountable for the overall retention of accounts as assigned in book of business
Experience and/or Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is preferred, however an Associates degree is required at a minimum
3+ years of experience in account management, inside sales, or customer service
Knowledge of composite materials, properties, production, applications, part design, engineering, and material production/fabrication is essential
Sensitivity for cost methods and financials is required
Strong presentation, time management, and teamwork skills
Comfortable interfacing and developing professional relationships with internal and external customers
Knowledge and experience with ERP systems preferred (D365 or Microsoft Dynamics AX)
Experience with MS Office Suite
Ability to solve practical problems and resolve customer issued effectively and efficiently
Attention to detail when composing or proofing material, ability to prioritize and meet deadline
Knowledge of measurement conversions and weights in metrics and standards
Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly work space
Follow all PPE standards and safety procedures
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
