ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Repair, maintain and make engineering changes to all tools and fixtures
Assist technical services in machine repair, change over, set up and operation as required
Safely operate all tool room equipment
Have abilities to assemble and disassemble tooling, dies and gauges
Trouble shoot and resolve tooling problems
Work with various materials such as tool steels, plastics, aluminum, and copper
Must have or acquire personal tools to perform job assignment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); journeyman’s certification (preferred) and/or equivalent experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems collects date, establish fact, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to feel or handle objects, tools or controls; reach and lift with hands and arms; talk, see and hear. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to perform repetitive work tasks.
The associate may need to be available during off hours if needed and assist in emergency situations. The associate must have the flexibility to work various shift hours and/or extended hours if needed

While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently works near moving parts. The associate is frequently exposed to electromagnetic fields, risk of electric shock and vibration. The associate may occasionally work in high precarious places and it’s occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Associate may be subject to temperature extremes for extended periods of time.
