RFK Racing is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, problem-solving Senior Front End Engineer to join our Tool Development team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise to build modern, scalable software that helps contribute to winning races.
Job Overview
In this role, you’ll utilize your front-end skills to build responsive, user-friendly solutions that help support our team before, during, and after races. You’ll work closely with our competition, engineering, and business teams to translate their unique requirements into responsive, user-friendly solutions in our modern Next.js web application.
- Leverage deep full-stack knowledge understanding to solve complex technical challenges with simple, user-friendly solutions
- Use a wide range of technologies based on the applications and need, such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL for our in-house frontend applications, and C#/.NET for our backend applications
- Maintain and expand our new platform as well as modernizing legacy solutions through greenfield projects
- Collaborate with the design and backend teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Assist with frontend performance tuning and optimizing React code for scalability.
Requirements
Applicants should have prior experience as a senior developer on teams building and shipping modern web applications. We’re looking for someone with the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and GraphQL with an emphasis on experience building feature-rich real-time web applications
- Strong HTML/CSS skills with experience creating responsible mobile-first UIs
- Knowledge of C# and .NET stack preferred
- Knowledge of standard design practices for relational and non-relational databases
- Should possess relevant knowledge of web standards, modern encryption and security
- Experience working on an agile, cross-functional team and interacting with non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with cloud technologies (we use AWS)
- Experience with DevOps tools and continuous delivery pipelines
- Background or interest in motorsports is a bonus
