From initial concept to detailed design, you’ll work closely with Mechanical and Electronics Engineers to bring innovation to life, supporting F1 car builds, test installations, and pit equipment. Main Duties: Design and develop electrical assemblies, including wiring harnesses, sensors, and actuators, from concept to detailed implementation. Collaborate effectively with departments such as Mechanical Design, Aerodynamics, Transmissions, Powertrains, and Garage and Pit Equipment to ensure seamless integration. Engage with external suppliers to coordinate and deliver high-quality components. Maintain clear, concise, and professional communication at all times. Develop and write technical operating procedures and specifications for car systems. Take ownership of fault diagnosis, conducting thorough analyses, and implementing timely solutions to rectify issues. Demonstrate flexibility with working hours and contribute as an integral part of the design team. Ensure full compliance with the company’s quality and safety standards. Core Competencies: Proficiency in using Electrical CAD wiring design software. Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals, communication lines, CANbus systems, Ethernet, sensor theory, and sensor types. In-depth understanding of electrical and electronic assemblies, including MIL-spec wiring harnesses and connectors. Experience with Raychem harness systems, Autosport connectors, and Motorsport ECU systems is highly desirable. Self-driven, innovative, and capable of performing under pressure with minimal supervision.
